CLAT 2021 official notification has been released by the Consortium of National Law University. CLAT 2021 Application Forms will be released on January 01, 2021, and hence, Candidates will be able to register until March 31, 2021.  The national-level law entrance exam is scheduled to be held on May 9, 2021, from 3 PM to 5 PM – offline mode.

Common Law Admission Test (CLAT), is a National Level Entrance Exam carried out for admission into 22 NLU’s in India. Certain Public organisations, such as ONGC, BHEL use these ratings as acquired in CLAT-PG for their legal recruitments. That is primarily the reason why CLAT is considered to be a milestone in an individual life who has attained a securing rank at CLAT as in many such private institutions specifically in India. The most prominent reason for securing a good rank in CLAT is said to be that, “the future will be secured and bright”. Because the competition is vast nowadays.

Hence, Seats will be offered based on merit cum preference.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CLAT: LLB AND LLM

CLAT LLB (UG)

• General category– students who have secured 45% marks or higher in their 10+2 exams.
• SC/ST – The cut-off is 40% marks or higher in their 10+2.

CLAT LLM (PG)

• A student should hold a LLB degree or equivalent (3 or 5 years)
• General category– students who have secured 50% marks in LLB
• SC/ST – students who have secured 45% marks in LLB

APPLICATION FORM FEE FOR EXAM

• General category – Rs. 4,000
• SC/ST – Rs. 3,500

1. Latest passport size photograph of the student who is applying with the white background.
2. Signature of Aspirant
3. Educational Documents.
4. PWD Certificate (If Applicable)

CLAT UG 2021 EXAM PATTERN

• English (With Comprehensive): 40 marks
• Current Affairs: 50 marks
• Legal Reasoning: 50 marks
• Logical Reasoning: 40 marks
• Quantitative Techniques: 20 marks
• There will be a total of 200 Objective (MCQ) type questions in the test.
• CLAT Exam Duration will be 2 hours.
• UG – CLAT focuses on the ability to study law as opposed to prior knowledge.
• CLAT Exam Pattern was changed for the year 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions.
• Each Question will carry 1 mark for the right answer.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.

PG CLAT 2021 EXAM PATTERN

• The first section will consist of 100 questions and will get 1 mark for every correct answer.
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer.
• The second part will consist of 2 descriptive type questions worth 25 marks each.
• Each Essay should be at least 800 words.
• Only the candidates who score 40% in section 1 will be eligible for the correction of section 2.
• There is 5% relaxation for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
